Creating Connectivity – Finest Future’s Delegation Trip to Finland

Back in early April (it wasn’t that long ago!), Finest Future hosted a group of our international partners for a jam-packed 5-days of delegation visits and sightseeing trips across Finland.

The Finest Future co-founding team – comprised of chairman Peter Vesterbacka, CEO Bambi Dang, and COO Tuomas Tiilikainen – invited international Finest Future stakeholders from Finest Future Myanmar and HanoiLink and Tân Thời Đại in Vietnam on a trip across Finland to discover more about Finnish education and the benefits of living and studying in the Finest Bay Area. It was also a great opportunity for us to build new and foster existing connections with schools and city officials across Finland.

Kicking off on Monday, we started with a meeting at Forssa High School, where we were fortunate to speak to teachers and interview current students about their experience at the school. We also had the opportunity to meet with Forssa City representatives, before heading down to visit Ikaalinen IDEA Campus and spend the night in Ikaalinen.

Day two started with a visit to the SASKY eSports division, followed by lunch in Tampere. It’s no secret that technical and gaming vocations, like eSports, are creating the next generation of startup founders, so it was an especially exciting visit for the whole group. The afternoon saw another high school visit – this time Mänttä High School to once again meet with students, staff, and Mänttä City representatives.

A night train from Tampere to Kemijärvi took us to Salla High School by Wednesday morning to meet with Salla High School, interview students studying in Salla, and even see what the student dormitory looks like! After a meeting with representatives from the city of Salla, delegates got the chance to explore the Salla scenery before heading to Rovaniemi for the night.

A hop, a skip, and a jump – or a drive, a flight, and a train – we were in Järvenpää, to meet students and teachers at Järvenpää Vocational School STEP. The trip was rounded off with a train journey back to Helsinki, where everyone had some free time to explore the city at their own pace.

We’re already gearing up for more international delegation trips later this year, and we’re definitely “the more, the merrier” type of people. It could be you joining us on our next trip, discovering new cultures, and networking in an entirely new part of the world! Get in touch today to find out how you can become a Finest Future partner.
