Winter Camp 2025
13 – 22 January, 2025
Location
The main duration of the camp will be spent in Salla, Finland, with trips and visits to other cities across the country, such as Rovaniemi (Santa Claus Village) and Helsinki (the capital city).
Audience
This camp is for students aged 12-18 from all over the world.
Program Inclusions
The cost of the camp includes all meals and accommodation for the full 10 days, as well as classes, startup mentors, all travel expenses within Finland, and all entrance fees/other costs for program activities here to begin editing.
Camp Leader
Bambi Dang, Finest Future’s CEO and co-founder, has been the host of our camps for 3 years running. Bambi is a Serial Entrepreneur with over 12 years of experience.
Accommodation
Our campers will stay at the Holiday Club Salla Superior Apartments. This Finnish Lapland hotel is in Salla Ski Resort, just 50 metres from the ski lifts. It offers a restaurant, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub access. An on-site minimarket sells groceries and other supplies. Free WiFi is offered in all rooms.

Winter Camp mission: get the campers to fall in love with Finland so they would join our main programmes (Fresh and Fast).

What is the minimum/maximum number of the campers?
Minimum 16 students to maximum 30 students.
When is the registration deadline?
15.12.2024, however, Finest Future reserves the right to cancel the camp, if we don’t get at least 16 paid registrants by November 10th 2024. If we cancel it, then you will receive full reimbursement within one week from the cancellation announcement.
What is the age limit for the camp?
Students from 12-18 years old are eligible to join the camp.
What kind of supervision is provided during the camp?
We expect there to be approximately 20 campers, and for this amount of kids, we will have at least 4 adults to accompany the campers. However, if there will be more than expected campers, we will also include more adults.
What kind of medical help is available at the camp?
We have first-aid packages and first-aid trained professionals available at the camp. For more serious matters, there is a public hospital nearby.
What is the cost of the Camp?
The fee for each participant is 2,800 Euros (including VAT).This fee includes all meals and accommodation for the full 10 days, as well as classes, mentors, all travel expenses within Finland, and all entrance fees/other costs for program activities
Which fees are not included in the cost?
Flight tickets, travel insurance and personal expenses. Also, if the student doesn’t have proper winter clothes for skiing and snowboarding, then they can rent them for approximately 10 EUR a day.
How do the registrants pay the Camp fee?
Parents and students can choose to pay through Finest Future agencies or directly through us.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?

What are the apartments like?
The apartment comprises 1 living room with 1 sofa bed, 2 separate bedrooms with 2 single beds in each and 1 bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. In the kitchen, guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware. This apartment features a washing machine, a tea and coffee maker, a flat-screen TV and a patio.

How many students per room?
2 students per room.
Will the boys be separated from the girls in the accommodation?
In the bedroom, yes, they are separated, but in the apartment in Salla it can happen that two boys stay in one room and two girls in the other room in the same apartment. In this case, there will be a supervisor who sleeps on the sofa bed in the living room of the apartment.
Will the bathroom be shared? If so, with how many students?
There is one bathroom per apartment for 4 students in Salla.
Can Finest Future accommodate students who have any dietary restrictions or a more restricted diet, for example, lactose intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, etc.?
Yes, we can arrange special menus upon request.
Where are the startup project classes held?
At the hotel meeting room.
Who will travel with the students?
Depending on the city and country the students are traveling from, we might have Finest Future staff traveling together with them. For the students who live in different regions or countries, the family could purchase the escort/assistance service from the airline carrier. With that service, the student would get more attention and guidelines from the airline ground and cabin crew.
Who will pick up the students at Helsinki international airport?
Finest Future staff will pick up the students at Helsinki International airport with the flight information provided by the family.
Which date should the students book the flight for arrival in Helsinki?

Will Finest Future support students on booking the flights?
If the student joins the Winter Camp through a Finest Future agency, the agency might provide support on booking the flights, if the student joins through us directly, then we can provide suggestions on best flights.
Does the student need to apply for a visa to join the Camp?

If the student needs a visa to travel to Finland, what type of visa do they need to apply for?
Tourist visa for short stay.
How much is the visa fee?
Parents and students should check with the Finland Abroad Service in their country.
Will the student need travel insurance for the trip to Finland?
Yes, definitely. Your travel insurance must be in force for the period of the validity of the visa you apply for and cover the entire Schengen area. The minimum coverage of the policy must be EUR 30,000 and the insurance must cover expenses arising from a sudden illness and accident (also the patient’s repatriation) and repatriation expenses in case of death.
