From Finland to Vietnam, Finest Future had an amazing journey throughout Vietnam from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. It was an honor to visit major schools, attend various conferences on different topics, and have opportunities to meet with several entrepreneurs and huge investors. The trip helped us gain a unique opportunity to learn about and understand local market conditions through first-hand insight.
Our first stop after landing at Tan Son Nhat airport was at our brand new office, which will be opening at the beginning of May. A new chapter for Finest Future and an important step to globalizing our firm.
Hanoi greeted us with a warm welcome from FPT Cau Giay School, a member of FPT education – and if anybody tells you that you will get used to red carpet walking with crowds cheering, well, it’s a lie. We could never. We thought we would be there to inspire students, but after getting to meet all of the talented young people at FPT, we realized it was truly the other way around.
Traveling onwards to Da Nang, we continued our impassioned seminar series at FPT high school and secondary school. Sharing the same vision to bring higher education to the youth of Vietnam, we realized that we can do so much more here; students are not the only ones who need to learn – everybody does – and so do the teachers.
We also met with FPT Polytechnic in Hanoi, keen to learn what they can adopt from Finnish education. FPT has been offering polytechnic education for over 40,000 students since 2010, and we talked about how can we enhance our vocational program to meet the needs of FPT.
The Finnish love football and so do the Vietnamese. Since we were in Hanoi, we met up with the T&T group – one of the top 10 multiple private economic groups in Viet Nam. T&T Group is known for its football talent search and development center, and Hanoi T&T Table Tennis Club has won many medals at domestic and international tournaments – providing generations of strong athletes for the national team of all ages. Not only does it rank on top for education, but Finland is also a sporting country. With that idea, we are building a high school sports program where students can study and be trained by Finnish coaches in Finnish schools.
Returning to Ho Chi Minh City, we had a chance to visit Vinschool Central Park – the largest school in the Vinschool system. We were delighted to meet over 200 enthusiastic students who already knew lots about Finland’s excellent education system, and our CEO – Bambi Dang shared her emotional journey from a small village in Vietnam to becoming a serial entrepreneur in Finland.
For the final stop on our delegation trip, we had the privilege of meeting with Ho Chi Minh City’s education department. In the near future, Finest Future wants to launch a series of events to introduce Finland as well as its education system to Vietnamese parents & students. Additionally, with those events, we want to educate the younger generations in Vietnam about entrepreneurship & bring Finnish and Vietnamese cultures closer together.
